Peak Comapedrosa (2.942m)

Difficulty: Easy but long

We leave the end of the road Arinsal, next to the waterfall Ribal. Take a closed track with a string. After a short while, let the track and take a path left with white and red (GR 11). We will follow this path and cross the river to the Lake Plan a gateway. Soon, in another pass to cross the river Coma Pedrosa. The road climbs up into bows out of the forest. We'll cross the river down to the lake of tortillas and reach a plateau where we find left the shelter of Coma Pedrosa.

The path to a very flat valley following the River. On reaching the valley bottom, turn right and we will gain altitude zigzags to land quite right until you reach a kind of grassy spur. Then come to a pond with a sign indicating the GR and very near the pond where black until well into the summer and find snow. At this point, there are two options.

The first, skirting the lake and follow the right side by a scree field to the pass of the hole Malshiverns Baiau located between the peak and the peak of Coma Pedrosa, and turn right to reach the summit.

The second option more attractive, is to follow the long ridge to the summit. Black reached the pond, turn right and climb a pair of stepped without any difficulty reaching the summit.

It is a nice peak and the highest of Andorra, which presents no difficulty, but if it has a considerable slope. Wonderful view of the Arinsal Valley and most of the peaks as well as Andorra Pallars.

In winter, has become a classic do it with cross country skiing, not being their ascent too difficult but quite long.
