Peak Portelleta (2.905m)

Leave the shelter of the Island and follow the GR11 without arriving at the Port of Vallcivera. Bordered by the right Tosseta Vallcivera the raffle and win a few granite blocks up the hill height bias of Portelleta. Uphill for a tarter where the slope is too strong and not uncomfortable. After this step, continue to the right by a steep ridge to the summit plateau, very wide.

It is the highest mountain that borders the Cerdanya maps according to 2.905m and 2.916m according to the Andorran Geographic Institute of Catalonia which would place the third highest peak in the fifth place in Andorra. It is a prime vantage point on one side the north wall of the Sierra del Cadi Maladeta, Peak Néouvielle, the Pic du Midi de Bigorre and Canigó, and all the other Madriu and numerous Andorra peaks.

It is advisable to take the shelter of Madriu to stay overnight there because the ascent to the peak of the bridge from Portelleta Sabaté is very long.

The ascent of the Pic Portelleta, also called Tossa Plana de Lles from Cerdanya is easy. Exit the Nordic ski Lles, for refuge and Chief Pradell Rec. Highly recommended to make the ascent to the Catalan side with cross country skiing.
